Privacy Policy

Cottage Blast · Last updated 2026-04-27

This Privacy Policy describes what information the Cottage Blast iOS app ("the app", "we", "us") collects from you and how that information is used. By installing and using the app you accept the practices described here.

What we collect

Anonymous device identifier

On first launch the app generates a random UUID and stores it locally on your device. This identifier is never linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal information. It is sent only with the analytics events described below to allow us to count distinct players.

Gameplay analytics

The app records anonymous events about how the game is played — for example, when a run starts and ends, how many cells you cleared, when you complete the daily puzzle, when you trigger a chain reaction, when an in-app purchase is made, and when an ad is watched. These events are used to understand which features players enjoy and to improve the game.

No analytics event ever contains your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifiable information.

Purchase data

If you make an in-app purchase, the App Store handles the transaction. We receive a verification receipt from Apple that confirms the purchase, but we do not see your credit card or billing information. Apple's privacy policy applies to the payment itself: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic information about the crash (stack trace, device model, iOS version) may be collected to help us fix the bug. This information is not linked to your identity.

Push notifications

If you grant permission, the app schedules local push notifications on your device for the daily puzzle, streak reminders, and weekly rewards. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device. We do not send notifications from a server, and we do not store your device push token on our servers.

Stored locally on your device only

Your run history, garden decorations, gem balance, daily streak, battle pass progress, owned cosmetics, and game preferences are saved to your device's local storage. They never leave your device unless you choose to share a Daily Puzzle score (see Sharing below).

Advertising — Google AdMob

The app shows third-party advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect:

Google's ad-platform privacy policy applies to the data they collect: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone.

Watching a rewarded video advertisement (for an extra continue, a free chest, etc.) is always optional. Players who make any in-app purchase, or who buy "No Interstitials," will not see interstitial ads.

What we do not collect

Sharing

The app provides a "Share score" button on the Daily Puzzle screen. Tapping it lets you share an emoji grid of today's puzzle to apps you choose (Messages, social media, etc.). The app never shares anything on your behalf without you tapping that button.

Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete all locally stored data (gems, garden, streak, run history, owned cosmetics) at any time via Settings → Your Data → Delete All Local Data inside the app. This action is irreversible. In-app purchases stay tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device via Settings → Restore Purchases.

Anonymous analytics events that have already been transmitted are retained for up to 24 months to inform game-balance decisions, after which they are deleted.

Children

Cottage Blast is intended for a general audience and is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 in the United States, or under 16 in the European Union. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)

If you reside in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the app stores your data locally on your device and the only identifier we receive is an anonymous UUID, the most effective way to exercise these rights is to use the in-app Delete All Local Data button. You may also email us; see below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be communicated either in-app or through the App Store listing. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current revision.
